I TRIED IT FOR YOU!

Pillsbury Pink Lemonade Premium Cookie Mix & Pillsbury Pink Lemonade Premium Frosting!

What's a new blogger to do that does not have any "Real Product" Reviews.  Do a review anyway!

I was grocery shopping the other day and came across the Spring  Baking Mixes.  You know how the company's come out with "Seasonal" Baking products.  These products are always on display for the holiday, generally they do not have a sale price and I think Will I like it and Will this be a waste of money?

I came across one product from Pillsbury-Pink Lemonade Cookie Mix and its frosting Pink Lemonade Frosting to compliment the cookie.  I thought I would give it a try!
I have always liked Lemon Bars but would end up taking a lot of the lemon pudding mix off of it because it was too tangy.  You know too "lemony" !

The mix was easy to prepare you just add butter and an egg.  Spoon the cookie mix on the baking sheet pop in the oven as directed!

Warning: Do not worry about the slightly browned edges on this batch of cookies.
I always slightly over cook my first batch!

See this batch is perfect!

Next you frost the cookies if you wish!

I tested the cookie prior to frosting and I thought it was perfect!  The cookie itself is soft, has a lemony taste but not over bearing it has just the right amount of sweetness!  The mix makes three dozen cookies.

The frosting was sweet with a touch of lemony flavor.  If you like a sweeter dessert cookie give the frosting a try!  The combination was perfect!

This is a pretty cookie too, very nice spring like pink!

It would be great for a luncheon dessert or a brunch!
My husband and I enjoyed them with a cup of coffee!

I was happy with both of these products and I will buy it again!

I was not compensated in any way for this review!

Reuse & Repurpose Old Plastic Easter Eggs-Have a Green Easter

I come from a long line of crafters.  My, Mom the artist could put Martha Stewart into a Panic Attack.  Given all those superb crafting genes I am only OK.  However, I have searched the web and have found some adorable ideas to reuse those plastic Easter eggs the bonus is it gives the kiddos something to do too!

For this one you would use a Styrofoam wreath to start.  From the dollar store you could purchase the paper gift bag grass.  These eggs are not decorated and it still looks beautiful.

This is easy because I have done this , first get a heavy cardboard and cut to the size you would like your wreath cut out the felt leaves and decorate or not your Easter eggs.  Now Get gluing!  Yeah!

The next project are topiary's.  They are both different one is small and feels very "girly".  I love the buttons.  The larger eggs are needed for the small topiary.

This is one for the little boys, so sweet!

Now for the little girls,

They are adorable and glued onto baked polymer clay  Tiny little teacups!

Now for the more country look,

Just add the spots from a paintbrush although this can get messy it looks real nice!

Now something my kiddos with Autism will love,

The Easter egg sensory table!

For the finale,

Something everybody will love,

Every house needs a little Whimsy,

It is a gift that will just keep giving through the years,

What!? No green Beer!

So I would have to begin with a tiny bit of background.  Patrick my husband and I have 3 handsome boys and our middle son Topper, has severe Autism.  We have no family within a four state radius and so we rely on older babysitters pretty hard to come by.  Topper is a lot so maturity is important.
We have been lucky enough to have a wonderful sitter whom is 21.  Down to earth, intelligent, everything you could ask for in a babysitter.  I have been quietly dreading the day she has a lot more going on because I know I will lose her.
Like many people in our situation we miss most of these social things.  Patrick had called and made plans for us to go out tonight for St Patty's Day. WhooHoo! Party! Not the best it is a Sunday and tomorrow is a school day and work day.  But who cares we are going  party.  In fact Pat and I met at an Irish Pub.  This is where we are at our most comfortable.
Our babysitter was to arrive at 3:00 at about 3:15 I asked my husband if he checked his voice mail he said no.  He went to check it.  Our sitter is never late.  Low and behold she has got the stomach flu.
Me and the hubby looked at each other with this look of -can you believe that.  I said are you kidding?  He said well it might not be green beer baby but we are drinking a beer tonight.  He came back with a six pack of lite beer and we had a nice beer together and by some miracle all of the boys stayed out of the room.  It was great!  I realized what it was is the time I got with him.  Sometimes I just want to be a girlfriend like I use to be with him.  Well the beer was not green but it tasted good and the company was just like I remembered, it was a fun guy who I am crazy about.
